MERZOUK Hafida

Professor of Physiology and Nutritional Biochemistry

Mrs. MERZOUK Hafida, Professor of Physiology and Nutritional Biochemistry at the University of Tlemcen, holds a PhD in Physiology from the University of Tlemcen (Algeria) and a PhD in Physiology and Nutrition from the University of Burgundy in Dijon (France). She is also a member of the African Academy of Sciences. She has held numerous administrative positions and is a member of the pedagogical committees of Master's programs in Physiology and Cellular Pathophysiology, Nutrition Biology, and Nutrition and Diseases. She supervises Master's and PhD students on topics related to cellular dysfunctions and diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension, as well as nutrition, oxidative stress, and the care of elderly individuals. Currently, she is the director of the PPABIONUT laboratory, where she manages several research projects focused on preventive nutrition and bioactive molecules, in collaboration with French research teams in Dijon, Evry, Nancy, and Strasbourg. Highly committed to her research, she is the author of numerous international publications and regularly participates in international conferences.
